Mount to Coast 2025 Line Up Introduction

Mount to Coast arrived in style in 2024 with the excellent R1 and S1. Shoes for ultramarathons that would also fit into every runner’s collection as a very comfortable daily option. The twin lacing system on the R1 mad adjustments easy and both offered exceptional comfort. What is on offer in the in the Mount to Coast 2025 line up?

Mount to Coast T1

Category: Trail
Stack: 36mm
Drop: 4mm
Weight: 261g | 9.2oz
Price: $180
Release date: Summer 2025

Initially, Mount to Coast made shoes for road ultramarathons. A fairly niche market sector. Now, they introduce the T1. Unsurprisingly, looking at the outsole, the T stands for trails. The V on the rubber stands for Vibram so we can be sure that the grip will be second to none.

In Summer 2025, we will be able to see how the T1 functions. The upper has the same split lacing system as the R1. Up front, we have the quick release elastic lace to change the fit rapidly when the foot swells after hours on the trail. Meanwhile, the top half of the lace looks sturdier to hold the foot in place and keep the debris out. Moreover, the upper is infused with kevlar. If it’s good enough to keep out bullets, rocks don’t stand a chance.

The LightCELL midsole is the same as that in the R and S1 from earlier in the year. Whilst the R1 and S1 had the zero sag guidance system to keep the gait true, the T1 comes  with a rock plate instead to protect the foot.

Weight wise, the T1 comes in at about 261g while the stack is 36mm with a 4mm drop. Numbers which are comparable to several other trail race shoes at TRE.

Mount to Coast H1

Category: Hybrid
Stack: 35mm
Drop: 6mm
Weight: 255g | 9.0oz
Price: $160
Release date: Fall/Winter 2025

Next on the block is the H1. In this case, the H stands for hybrid. While the R1 was focussed on the tarmac, this is to take you wherever you want to go.

The midsole is made from CicleCELL, an organically based material which works towards sustainability. A compound which, while soft, has shown its durability with some insane mileage being put into the prototypes.

The weight is impressive with the 36mm stack height coming in at only 255g. Meanwhile, the drop is 6mm. Available in Autumn 2025, the H1 is looking like a very interesting proposition from the Mount to Coast 2025 line up.
