Our coaching philosophy

Regardless of whether you are an experienced runner or you are just starting out, training for endurance sports can be a very time-consuming process. Even with the very best training programs, seeing visible progress can take a while, and long-term success requires patience, commitment, and consistency.

 

Here at Meta Endurance, our mission is to support you every step of the way. Our motto “go beyond your limits” is derived from our name, with Meta meaning ‘limit’ in Latin and ‘beyond’ in Greek, and it is something that we are 100% committed to.

 

Our experienced team will help you to develop the most comprehensive training program, designing the plan around your skill level, goals, and schedule. We know how tough it can be to train, which is why our focus is on helping you to have fun and be as productive as possible, and our team is on hand to provide support and advice as you travel on your journey.

 

Alongside our training plan, our team also reviews the latest running, cycling, and triathlon equipment. From running shoes and cycling gear to apparel and nutritional items, we have taken a closer look at these essential items to help you. We’re always keen to try out the latest products, so any brands interested in collaborating with us, get in touch!

 

Meta Endurance was founded by Alex Filitti, an endurance sports fanatic who completed his first marathon when he was just 16! Since then, he has continued to build on his passion. Initially starting out coaching friends and family on their running journey, he branched out to support a wider audience and has also launched a popular YouTube channel where he reviews the latest running shoes to hit the market. Still a keen runner, his PRs include qualifying times for the Boston Marathon and French 10k Road Championship, while he has also competed in the Duathlon event at the European and World Championships.

Our methods

To ensure our team is always able to help you achieve your best, we believe in utilizing the power of science to analyze every aspect of your training session. We love sensors, numbers, analysis tools, time predictors, and anything else that helps us to understand our athletes and the methods that best work for them. That is why we use TrainingPeaks, a proven platform that allows us to gather all your data in one place.

 

This allows us to thoroughly analyze your performance, ensuring we can create the most comprehensive training plan for you. We utilize a wide range of analysis tools to help us, including WKO5 for those athletes choosing our Meta plan.

 

However, while facts and figures are important, they are no replacement for how you are feeling. That is why our team will also chat with you to understand your feedback and thoughts, ensuring we can tailor our strategy accordingly. We have found that blending data with real-life feedback ensures our athletes not only enjoy the best training plans but have fun while doing it.

Where are we
based?

Meta Endurance is based in Brussels, Belgium, but we offer in-person coaching and testing sessions to athletes across Western Europe. Most typically, our coaching services are provided through the proven TrainingPeaks platform, with communication occurring through the in-app comments and private messaging function, but we can tailor this to suit your needs.
