Brooks 2025 Trail Line Up Introduction
Brooks is back with their 2025 trail line up. From technical trails to easy gravel paths, the coming year from Brooks looks exciting for runners of all type. Read on to find out what Brooks has in store for the off road minded in the coming year.
Brooks Cascadia 19
• Category: Trail
• Stack: 35mm
• Drop: 6mm
• Weight: 297g | 10.4oz
• Price: $140 | €150
• Release date: June 2025
Brooks technical trail fans are in for a treat with the 19th iteration of the Cascadia. The technical trail shoe gets a complete makeover. Out the door with the foam-rockplate-foam sandwich. The new technical trail favourites have just become softer, more playful with a clever new way of moulding the rockplate within the midsole.
Speaking of playful, Brooks is promising a little more umph thanks to a 6mm drop with 35mm in the heel, 29mm in the forefoot. They still swears its technical ability knows no bounds though. Want to see fierce? Flip the shoe over for a full fleet of 4.5mm lugs. The centre lug row is said to offer flexibility, while the forefoot secures sideward traction in check.
We did say a complete makeover!
They heard you worried it wouldn’t be as stable as previously. It’s still a Cascadia, with Brooks’ nifty Trail Adapt stability device. Despite an upper revamping, there is a commitment to reducing abrasion. We’ll have to wait for June 2025 to test these claims ourselves. Price point: $150.
Brooks Caldera 8
The Caldera 8 is coming soon as part of the Brooks 2025 trail line up, as always ready to add some cushion to your trail runs. Brooks has packed in more protection, structure, and breathability for this 8th iteration.
The new upper features a breathable, water-resistant mesh—an intriguing combo that we’re excited to test out. For added structure, 3D overlays on the medial side keep your feet secure on tough terrain. And no changes to the nitrogen-infused DNA Loft v3 midsole, which continues to deliver that plush, cushioned ride we love. We’re looking at a 38mm stack in the heel, 32 in the forefoot for a 6mm drop.
On the outsole, the Trailtack rubber and 4mm lug pattern are here to stay for solid grip. Brooks keeps its promise of sustainability by using recycled materials without sacrificing performance. More protection, more breathability, and a ride that’s still buttery smooth. The Caldera 8 is here to keep you cruising through the trail. Price point: $150.

Brooks Catamount 4
In the lightweight category, the Catamount also gets a drastic overhaul. From midsole foam to carbon plate design to lug patterns, it all got a do-over to lead the Brooks 2025 trail line up.
No more shifting around between the secure booty construction and 3.5mm lugs designed around up and downhill traction.
Meet your new uphill companion, designed with a longer carbon plate for better pop and propulsion, and more ground feel at 34mm in the heel and 28mm in the forefoot for a 6mm drop.
We heard that groan! Who doesn’t want that Catamount ground feel without hearing their legs bark? Brooks heard your main gripe on this shoe was its lack of cushion. They apologised with softer DNA Flash V2 so you can go much much longer distances. No excuses left after January 2025. Price point: $170.
