TRE 2025 Boutique Brands Introduction

While some of the major players will bring a whole raft of shoes to TRE to unleash on the world, some others may only bring a single shoe. Here we take a look at some of those. Tracksmith, purveyors of fine New England running culture, show the Eliot Ryde. SATISFY follow up from TheROCKER with TheROCKER TEAM. Finally, new kids on the block, Avelo Running, bring PRI to the SuperTrainer One. They say the best things come in small packages, let’s see if that holds true at TRE 2025.

TRE 2025: Tracksmith Eliot Ryder

The Eliot Runner started Tracksmith’s footwear journey. They brought the classic, understated style mixed with the latest materials for a very visually appealing package. Last year, the Eliot Racer brought a huge, drop in midsole to a shoe which wasn’t a hit for everyone who ran in them but showed the ambition of the company to push the technology. This year, at TRE 2025, we meet their answer to the max cushioned market.

The Eliot Ryder really reaches for the sky, with 45mm of stack in the heel, it certainly fits into the niche. To achieve this towering stack, Tracksmith have integrated the one of the largest drop in layers in running. 25mm of supercritical ATPU foam gives an ultra-responsive ride along with comfort for the long run. The reason behind the drop in construction is stability. A lower centre of gravity means less wobble on the run.

As would be expected from Tracksmith, the upper material is premium quality and the aesthetics are on point. For this release, Tracksmith have kept the weight to a modest 9.5oz. For me, this is one of the more interesting releases from TRE 2025. Have Tracksmith finally nailed a shoe?

TRE 2025: SATISFY TheROCKER TEAM

Known for their patented MothTech shirts and a keen eye for style matched with a usually eye-watering price tag, SATISFY entered the shoe area with The Rocker. This was a shoe to take you through the desert and over the longest distances. Loose sand, hardpack and rock were the playground of the original shoe. TheROCKER TEAM is an evolution of this.

For this, we find a new upper, RIPY MATRYX offers lockdown and lightness. Along with this, the breathability for rising heat during the day is built in. Beside the new material, SATISFY have given the foot more room to expand over a long day of running. The heel has a D-width while the forefoot has an E-width. More of a natural fit for the foot and how it reacts to running. The midsole remains a PEBA/EVA blend named EUFORIA which offers lightweight cushioning and rebound.

On outsole duties, we have TuneLug multi sized grippers to keep you pushing onwards. Built on Vibram LiteBase, the rubber offers both lightness and durability. Finally, to really fine tune the fit, TheROCKER Team comes with both a 3mm and 5mm insole. Pick the one that suits your foot volume for that optimized feel.

TRE 2025: Avelo Running SuperTrainer One

Not many shoes come with a monthly subscription. Avelo Running is certainly trying new ground for their technologically advanced SuperTrainer One. Not content with making a high-stacked, lightweight trainer with a TPEE midsole, Avelo Running have added the PRI sensor. Your Personal Running Intelligence chip is hidden in the midsole where it records your run data. A 3D tracking algorithm monitors your every movement during the run and works with their app to provide running coaching for Impact, Resiliency, Form and Efficiency.

Is this something which you need in your running? There are already many options for keeping your effort data rich, but who doesn’t like a new toy to play with? Keep your eyes on the Meta Endurance channels to see what we make of the new slew of data we can receive from each mile.

But, back to the shoe itself, a dual density TPEE midsole which offers 38mm in the heel and an 8mm drop houses a PEBA plate to add to the ride experience. The upper promises to be roomy and breathable on a platform which promises to take you from your daily miles to those more uptempo paces. It certainly sounds interesting, let’s wait and see how it works in the real world.
