Satisfy CoffeeThermal Half Tights Introduction
This is our first review of Satisfy’s apparel and probably not the last. The French brand is growing very fast and it became a true contender in that premium segment of the running apparel market. What makes them so special, you might ask? Their materials are really high end and their designs are different, quite bold yet using soft earth-like tones. In this article I will write about the Satisfy Justice CoffeeThermal half tights (read the full article to understand the link with Coffee) – and this is a treat as I’m a half tights fan. But first, here are some specs.

CoffeeThermal Half Tights: some great upsides for most use cases
Alright, first let me explain the Coffee part in the name of these Satisfy half tights. They are made in a multidimensional stretch fabric that is woven with coffee-charcoal infused fibers. This material offers naturally heat-retentive properties, and believe me you can feel it. Anything above 5ยฐC and you’ll be overheating after 10 to 15 minutes of running. But in the cold, it’s really amazing how warm this fabric feels. It almost feels like the heat is not dissipating at all. I ran a fast 5km “test run” at 1ยฐC and I loved every second of it. The half tights don’t seem super breathable yet all I could feel was that my quads and hamstrings were not impacted at all by the ice-cold breeze hitting them, unlike my exposes shins and calves.
What else do I like about them? The cargo pockets that are impeccable when it comes to fitting a phone (iPhone 15 Pro on the below picture). The phone is perfectly locked in position and doesn’t move when running. Also it doesn’t rub against the hip bone. I also like the fit, which is snug and almost slightly compressive without being annoying or restrictive.
Some minor downsides for long distance runners using the Satisfy Half Tights
I raved about the storage capacity in the previous paragraph. While it’s great, it’s not that great if you’re racing longer distances. A marathon runner will for instance struggle to carry all their gels in the two pockets. Let alone carry all their gels and a phone on top. A back pocket would probably solve this issue.
Another issue I encountered personally was some rubbing in the crotch area. Initially I thought it was the newness of the fabric but it did not loosen up. I used some anti chaffing cream and it helped. It is not really an area where I get chaffing usually so this was awkward. Maybe a prominent stitching?
The main question mark for me is the price tag. I know high end modern fabrics come at a high cost. I am just questioning the relevance of spending this amount of money for half tights that are meant for cold days only. I guess it will really depend on where you are living and how tough your winters are. Anyways, I can’t wait to get negative temperatures here in Brussels to use the Satisfy Justice CoffeeThermal half tights on these frosty fast sessions.
