On 2025 Line Up Introduction
The Swiss brand On have had quite a headline grabbing year. First, they gave us the Cloudboom Strike with its drop in midsole to add pop and bounce. Then, at the Olympics, they unleashed their LightSpray 3D printed upper technology. Hellen Obiri took the Cloudboom Strike LS to gold in Boston. They are more a serious force in the running world.
What does the On 2025 Line Up have in store for us?

The Cloudsurfer was a real delight for our testers earlier this year. The ride was enjoyable, however, it developed a bit of a squeak over time. Does the On 2025 line up take care of this little issue?
Perhaps is the answer. First, the midsole foam has become a little firmer to add support and allow longer runs. Furthermore, the upper has had a re-tweak to add to the new supportive nature of the On Cloudsurfer 2. Whilst the midsole may have become firmer, the upper has an added element of plush with new padding all round.
Finally, the daily mileage monster of the On 2025 line up comes with a 32mm stack and a 9mm drop. You can pick up your pair in February 2025 for $160.
On Cloudultra Pro

If you are looking for a max cushioned trail racing machine, the On 2025 line up has the Cloudultra Pro. On wanted a versatile trail shoe, consequently, the Cloudultra Pro will take you from the easy miles to the hard race day efforts.
A flexible Speedboard takes the place of a stiff carbon fibre plate to reduce the harshness over the longest of runs. Meanwhile, the Cloudtech Phase is still present but in a much reduced form to avoid picking up trail passengers on the way.
If this 38mm stack package sounds interesting to you, it is available in February 2025 for $260.
On Cloudsurfer Max

Which shoe line would be complete without a max version nowadays? Certainly not the Cloudsurfer. The On 2025 line up takes the daily cruiser to the max with 37mm of foam in the heel and a 6mm drop. A replacement for the Cloudeclipse, the Cloudsurfer Max is there to make running easier with the geometry of the midsole.
Gone is the Speedboard of the Eclipse to keep the Max more in line with its siblings. It just gets taller! This shoe is altogether about comfort. As can be seen from the stack, padding in the upper and softness of the foam, nothing gets in the way of that mission.
Whilst the midsole may be bigger and softer than anything else in the Cloudsurfer range, the foam wraps the foot to add some stability to the ride. If this sounds like the shoe for you, it becomes available in July 2025 for $180.
On Cloudboom Max

That’s right, more max! This time, it is the Cloudboom which gets the max moniker. Hitting that full 40mm of stack in the heel, the Cloudboom Max is a super shoe for the mudpack runner. If you are running 4 or so hours in the marathon, the Cloudboom Max gives you that supershoe feel without the harshness and collapse of most carbon plated racers.
Moreover, this is a luxurious marathon cruiser. The padding and softness of the foam are all about comfort. Meanwhile, the 10mm drop is there to help you roll through your gait cycle as you crush your PBs.
A super shoe mix also comes with a super shoe price. But, in reality, what price comfort? In this case, $230 and it can be picked up in August 2025 ready for those Autumn marathon miles.
