A brand which has become a bit of an in house favourite over the past few years, Topo Athletic offers a range of shoes with a couple of things in common. Firstly, they all have very accommodating and naturally shaped toe boxes. This gives those of us with regular width feet room to wiggle our toes while it gives our widefoot brethren another option in a slim market. Secondly, Topo shoes all come with a maximum of a 5mm drop. Finally, every pair which we have had in for testing has been a very fun ride! Let’s have a look to see what they have on offer this year.

Topo Athletic 2026 Atmos 2

The max cushion cruiser of the line returns with even more ZipFoam in the midsole. Moving up by 2mm, the stack height is now 40mm in the heel to ensure super cushioned landings in this mileage crusher. The version one was incredibly comfortable for cruising through the miles and the second version promises to be even more forgiving and responsive, The ZipFoam has had a slight formula tweak to make it softer and offer more energy return. On the upper, we find the traditional Topo fit which is super accommodating and will please any widener footed runners out there.

Topo Athletic 2026 Ultrafly 6

A versatile daily shoe with extra cushion this year. A new 32mm stack height and a 5mm drop will ensure that there is plenty of cushion but also road feel for those who want to be more connected to the terrain. Those who like a bit of stability in their stride will also enjoy the gentle guidance offered by the medial post in the midsole. With a roomy, breathable upper, this sounds like it could be an ideal answer to what to wear on a daily basis.

Topo Athletic 2026 Pursuit 3

The medium cushion trail runner with the 0 drop midsole is back for a third iteration. A very modest 28mm of foam in the heel ensures maximum ground feel for those who really want to be in touch with nature. If the weather gets a bit much, the FKT insole allows for quick drainage so the feet stay comfy. To keep you moving in the right direction, The Topo Pursuit 3 is equipped with Vibram Megagrip rubber. The well spaced lugs should help to clear mud and stop slips on the trail. Will this be another team favourite from Topo?
