Saucony Endorphin Speed 5 Preview
The Saucony Endorphin Speed gets an update in June of 2025 with the release of its fifth version. The already very versatile, comfortable and lightweight shoe has a few key upgrades which improve the durability and performance of the shoe. For anyone who is a fan of previous versions of the shoe, it’s good news as the ride is closer to versions 2 and 3.
PWRRUN PB foam takes midsole duties in the Saucony Endorphin Speed 5. This maintains the bouncy, responsive and energised feel underfoot. Furthermore, it keeps a similar nylon plate to previous models. The more flexible plate improves the stability and rigidity of the shoe, giving it that added springboard effect. As for the stack and drop of the shoe, they have remained the same as the Saucony Endorphin Speed 4 at 38mm with 8mm of drop.
The upper has had major updates to improve the breathability and light-weight nature of the shoe. This very breathable and permeable upper is designed as a more race day oriented than previous versions. Consequently, it has minimal protection and padding, this is especially noticeable around the toe box.
Regardless of anything else, the Saucony Endorphin Speed 5 brings back the Mutant colour from the original Endorphin line. Added to that, the $170 price point stays the same. With overall quite drastic changes, the Endorphin Speed 5 looks to be a faster, more responsive model than its predecessors. This is an update that we are all for here at Meta Endurance!
