Mizuno 2026 Line Up Introduction
The Mizuno story this year is about speed. The majority of the releases are rapid racers for marathon smashing. If you are a sub-2:30 marathoner or have aspirations to be, Mizuno is the place to be. Last year, the shoes were a mystery. This year, the Hyperwarp franchise is on proud display. From ultralight to more robust, there is something which is sure to tickle your fancy. While the glamorous carbon racers are the stars of the show, the supporting cast member, the Neo Zen 2 is also very worthy of consideration for those miles which take you to that start line. Time to take a closer look!
Mizuno 2026 Hyperwarp Pure
This is the star of the show as far as the Mizuno 2026 race line up goes. With a weight to rival the adidas Pro Evo series, the Pure weighs in at just 137g for a UK size 8. The midsole geometry and plate set up is built to support efficient running and push you to your personal best. While this is aimed at sub-2:30 marathon runners, we can all aspire to such when we lace up on the line. A dual layer of a new formulation lightweight MIZUNO ENERZY XP holds a 3D shaped carbon plate which encourages rapid toe off and propulsion. The heaviest thing about the Pure is the price tag. €300 is no joke!
Specs:
Stack: 34.5mm
Weight: 137g | 4.8oz
Drop: 3mm
Price: €300 | $300
Release: January 2026
Mizuno 2026 Hyperwarp Elite
The (slightly) chunkier sibling of the Pure weighs in at a portly 170g. A dual foam midsole set up also separates the two pairs. The lightweight MIZUNO ENERZY XP takes the top layer while the layer below the carbon plate is the regular version of the ENERZY XP foam. Other than that, the purpose of the two shoes is the same. To get you through 42.2km as quickly as humanly possible. Thankfully for some, Mizuno have given the heel cup a little more padding in this year’s race shoes. As we move down though the range, the price also decreases, a mere snip at €280 for an extra 3.5mm in the heel.
Specs:
Stack: 38mm
Weight: 170g | 6oz
Drop: 3.5mm
Price: €280 | $275
Release: January 2026
Mizuno 2026 Hyperwarp Pro
Probably the most relatable of the three shoes is the Hyperwarp Pro. Aimed at the sub-3 crowd, the Pro has the highest stack height and lowest price of the gang. With the regular formulation of MIZUNO ENERZY XP foam on both layers, the Pro weighs in at 200g. With the Smooth Speed Assist geometry in the bottom layer of midsole foam, efficiency is the name of the game for runners. Perhaps this will be your go to partner to break the three-hour barrier for the first time in 2026.
Specs:
Stack: 39.5mm
Weight: 200g | 7.1oz
Drop: 6mm
Price: €230 | $230
Release: January 2026
Mizuno 2025 Neo Zen 2
While it may not be as show stopping as the Hyperwarp range, the Neo Zen 2 will be by your side a lot more frequently. For bouncy, enjoyable daily runs. The Mizuno ENERZY NXT NITROGEN INFUSED foam gives a great mix of cushion and responsiveness. Unlike the Neo Vista, the Zen is a plateless trainer. With a secure lockdown on top, the package combines to make a fun ride. Smooth Speed Assist technology helps a smooth roll through the gait cycle while helping to ease strain on the muscles. Meanwhile, a 40.5mm stack height makes sure the shocks of the road are kept well away from your feet. Finally, the bootielike construction of the upper ensures a secure lockdown to avoid hotspots or rubbing.
Specs:
Stack: 40.5mm
Weight: 245g | 8oz
Drop: 6mm
Price: €160 | $160
