A more eco-friendly bounce on the new NOVABLAST™ 4
One of the key changes brought by ASICS to the new NOVABLAST™ 4 is an update in the midsole compound. ASICS went for FF BLAST™ PLUS ECO foam instead of “regular” FF BLAST™ PLUS on the previous model. This new material is made of at least 20% bio-based material from renewable sources, such as leftover from sugar cane processing. Just like the ASICS Kayano 30 earlier this year, the new NOVABLAST™ 4 will be CO2e labelled. This label provides users with the precise carbon footprint of the shoe they’re purchasing.
The new NOVABLAST™ 4 will also come with a slightly revised outsole for a better grip. The trampoline-like midsole design remains a key feature on this shoe and should help runners get more bounce out of every stride.
The upper is also revised with now an engineered woven upper compared to the previous engineered mesh upper of the past versions. An upgraded stretchy gusseted tongue is also featured on the new NOVABLAST™ 4.
The shoe will retail for €150 on December 1, 2023.
