9 National Records, 3 World Leading times and 1 European record broken

On April 30, 2022, Adidas HQ (Herzogenaurach, Germany) hosted the second edition of Road to Records. Three distances were covered from the 5k up to the half-marathon both for Men and Women (6 races in total).

The mens 10k was one of the fastest ever with 7 athletes below 27 minutes. 

Yomif Kejelcha of Ethiopia ran the third fastest 5k ever in 12:55 and Yemaneberhan Crippa broke the European record in 13:14 during that same race. 

The women’s 5k was the race were hopes for a new WR were the highest (14:19 current WR). A male pacer has even been requested for that event. Teferi Senbere did not manage to break it and ran 14:37, which was nevertheless comfortable for the win.
