The Pegasus has always been Nike's workhorse daily shoe. The upcoming Pegasus Premium takes things up a notch. Super foams, visible air units and updates galore.
Pegasus Optimised
Nike’s differentiator has always been the air bubble. From small windows to entire air soles, Nike Air has been a fixture for decades. Now, Nike’s Pegasus Premium brings it boldly to the running space. Beyond the Air Zoom pods of the Alphafly and the Victory spikes, the Pegasus Premium brings a full length, sculpted air unit from heel to toe.
Built to take a runner’s energy from heel to toe as smoothly as possible. Overall, the mix of ZoomX, ReactX and Air Zoom makes the Pegasus Premium stand out. Moreover, Nike promises that the Premium will harness this mix of technology and foam to ensure that it returns more energy to the runner than any Pegasus before.
All this innovation is a result of Nike’s embrace of technology. Consequently, their application of rapid prototyping allows them to contort their air units to the shape of the runner’s foot to ensure new levels of running efficiency. No matter your stride length or gait pattern, the efficiency gains are for all.
Along with the entirely new underfoot sensation, the upper will ensure that lockdown is secure thanks to the dynamic midfoot system from the Pegasus line. Whilst all this sounds very exciting indeed, we will have to wait a while to find out how it translates onto the road. The Premium is marked as coming soon to nike.com and their apps.
