New Balance 2025 Road Line Up Introduction
After a bumper year of releases with an updated 1080, new versions of the SC Trainer and a whole new take on the SC Pacer, New Balance have given us quite a lot of goodies already in 2024. What did the Boston based brand have to unveil at TRE?
New Balance 880 v15 Preview
• Category: Road
• Stack: 40.5mm
• Drop: 6mm
• Weight: 300g | 10.6oz
• Price: $140
• Release date: Spring 2025
The 880 v15 is the main offering from the New Balance 2025 road line up. The smaller, firmer sibling to the 1080 is back and has had a bit of a makeover. Despite being the smaller shoe in the line up, it now comes with a 40.5mm stack height and a refined 6mm drop. This loses 2mm from the previous version.
The weight is a stout 300g so it probably won’t make it to many race day start lines. However, it is well within the boundaries of a daily trainer. Available in Spring 2025, you can pick up your 880 v15 for a reasonable $140.
New Balance More v6 Preview
• Category: Road
• Stack: 44mm
• Drop: 4mm
• Weight: 306g | 10.8oz
• Price: $155
• Release date: Summer 2025
The tallest shoe in the New Balance 2025 road line up is the More v6. 44mm of foam in the heel and a 4mm drop ensure that you have plenty of Fresh Foam X underfoot. Smooth rides and cushion all day is the recipe for the More v6. The soft, damping foam you’ll find in the 1080 but well, more of it!
With great stack height comes great weight, tipping the scales at 306g it won’t make any lightest shoes of the year list. That said, it will offer plenty of protection for the miles which lead to start lines.
If you fancy a little bit more, you can pick up your pair in Summer 2025 for $155
